won 1st.place in charlotte,michigan ,after 10 years of not competing to
explode back in to the carving world, this win was the first time a
female had placed first in a major contest and qualifying her for the
echo chainsaw championships.
oct-2006 kay fought
hard in this battle as she took 10 th place in the battle on the
mississippi in quincy,illinois.she built a beautiful flying eagle in
this one. JULY-2007 JULY is a busy month
for kay after a festival in junction city,kansas on the 5th i took off
with kay driving as fast as the law allows knowing the eureka,montana
contest starts early saturday morning on the 7th we pulled in at 10
oclock at night on the 6th after pushing real hard,the next morning the
fight was on and after a hard fought battle the smoke cleared she
pulled out a 2nd place with a awsome eagle piece.AFTER 10 DAYS OF
PLAYING ON THE BEACH IN WASHINGTON,STATE WE WENT TO MILTON-FREEWATER
,OREGONFROG CONTEST.WHERE KAY BUILT A AWSOME FROG-EAGLE PEICE.KAY WON
1ST. PLACE IN THE 90 MINUTE QUICK CARVE WITH A AWSOME LOOKING BEAR,SHE
WON A PLAQUE AND CHAINSAW FOR HER HER EFFORTS.APRIL-2008
EUREKA SPRINGS ARKANSAS.KAY BUILT A BEAUTIFUL WINGED EAGLE IN THIS 8
HOUR EVENT.FOR THE 90 MINUTE QUICK CARVE SHE BUILT A STUMP BEAR BENCH
WHICH SOLD AT AUCTION FOR 450.DOLLARS ,WHICH WON 1ST.PLACE IN THE
PM.QUICK CARVE EVENT.DAN WHITED OUR BUDDY FROM WASHINGTON,WHO WAS ONE
OF OUR FIRST TEACHERS TOOK THIRD PLACE OVER ALL,SO IT WAS A SUCCESSFUL
EVENT OVER ALL.wow is how june 2008 began with a
exciting trip to chetwynde british columbia with a hurried trip out
there we got to see mt.rushmore which was awsome, i want to say thanks
for a awsome competition yall put on ,now to the good stuff,kay
tied for 4th in this contest of contests with some of the best carvers
from around the world there,she built one of the nicest eagle-bear
peices you would ever want to see,and you guys and girls know she loves
to make them.she did a one hour quick carve and it sold for 600.dollars
